Quickstart

From a new account to your QuickBooks data in Databookly, in about five minutes.

Create your account

Go to app.databookly.com/sign-up. Sign up with Google, or with your work email and a password. If you use email, enter the 6-digit code we send you to verify it.

Set up your organization and first workspace

On Set up Databookly, fill in:

  • Organization name: your firm or your business, for example Ledgerline CPA.
  • You are: An accounting or bookkeeping firm or A business doing its own books.
  • First workspace: the company whose books you keep, for example Northwind Goods.

Click Create workspace. You can add more workspaces later, one for each client company.

Invited by someone?

If a teammate invited you, you skip this step. Their workspaces are already waiting for you after you sign in.

Connect QuickBooks

In your new workspace, click Connect to QuickBooks. Intuit's sign-in opens in a new tab. Sign in, choose the company and click Connect. The tab closes itself and Databookly loads your books.

You need to be an admin of that QuickBooks company. See Connect QuickBooks for each step.

Explore your books

The sidebar follows QuickBooks Online's menu: Chart of accounts, Bank transactions, Expense transactions, Bills, Invoices, Customers, Suppliers and more. Click Sync from QuickBooks at any time to pull the latest changes.

Code your bank lines

Bring QuickBooks' pending bank lines into Databookly. Let Auto-select fill in payees and categories, then post them in bulk. Start with Import pending bank lines.
